Chronic conditions
Medicare (Chronic Condition Management Plan)
- –Osteopathy is not covered by Medicare for standard consultations.
- –If you have a chronic condition (one that has lasted, or is expected to last, six months or more), your GP can set up a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan, which gives a Medicare rebate on up to 5 allied health visits per calendar year, including osteopathy.
- –This plan replaced GP Management Plans and Team Care Arrangements (sometimes called CDM or EPC plans) from 1 July 2025.
- –Ask your GP if you qualify — they must refer you and complete the relevant paperwork.
- –A gap fee may apply. Contact us to confirm current fees.
Transport injuries
TAC (Transport Accident Commission)
- –If you've been injured in a road traffic accident in Victoria and have a TAC claim, we can treat you under TAC.
- –TAC covers osteopathic treatment for injuries sustained in the accident.
- –You'll need a valid TAC claim number. Your GP may also need to provide a referral.
- –Contact us before your first appointment to confirm your entitlements and ensure we have the correct claim details.
Workplace injuries
WorkCover
- –If you've been injured at work and have an accepted WorkCover claim, we can provide treatment under WorkCover.
- –You'll need a valid claim number and a current Certificate of Capacity from your GP or treating medical practitioner.
- –WorkCover covers treatment for the work-related injury. Other conditions may be billed separately.
- –Contact us before booking to ensure we have everything in place for your first appointment.
